The priority of Villages1.com is to make available any information that will enhance the Lifestyle that is such a great part of this Community. There are several local websites claiming to provide 'Everything about The Villages'... However, Villages1.com was designed to provide  a means to access all of these sites in one location.   Unfortunately, we have been asked to remove a number of links to sites owned directly by The Villages.   Our goal remains the same, Villages1.com is a comprehensive information center designed and developed to make your life more enjoyable.  This FREE Information site is made possible by the many local businesses sponsoring the site.  Click here for a list of our Sponsors!

Annual Report from the Morse Family

Village residents turned out in force to  hear the Morse family recently.

Mark Morse complimented the residents for their desire to share the Lifestyle that is so much a part of our community.  He encouraged residents to stay involved and to do what they can to make this an even better place to live by stating, "If you do not stay involved in this operation, there is an opportunity for it to fade away..."   

He followed that by reminding us, "Your enthusiasm is contagious, so go out there and express it!"  Mark also encouraged residents to press for Sweet Tomatoes restaurant chain to come to The Villages.

Jennifer Parr offered many statistics involving the growth of the community over the years, and was somewhat sketchy about the decline in home values, while offering growth projections that indicate the future may very well erase the decline in values.  Jennifer also pointed out that the upscale Villages Lifestyle we all enjoy is a major selling point.

The overall tone of the meeting was upscale, encouraging and well received by those who attended the meeting.  It is always a pleasure to hear from the "Brass" and Villages1.com wishes to echo the message..."Stay Involved." 

One way to stay involved is to Volunteer to share a skill you have.   The Villages Recreation Department is organizing free classes for our Residents.  They are looking for instructors for all types of Dance, Exercise Classes, Water Exercise, Hobbies, Arts & Crafts, Sports, Card & Board Games, including any idea you might have that isn't already listed.   You can call 753-1716 or contact your nearest Regional Recreation Center for more information about becoming a volunteer..."you'll love it", says a recent advertisement for Volunteers!!

Villages1.com would also like to remind the residents that if you take the time to make your wishes clear, the Morse family is definitely listening!  One cannot help but believe that they love this community as much as we do, possibly even more, since they made it all possible.

Did you know that there are a group of patriotic individuals making a difference in the lives of our Service Men and Woman??  You can find them at Lake Miona on Monday afternoons. See the incredible efforts to be in touch with our soldiers for yourself. It is not unusual for 300 people to be there on Mondays. Patriotism flows strong and you can hear our anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance honoring our soldiers. When was the last time you did that?

Most people leave undone those things that should be done, while they do things that they shouldn't be doing. Set priorities for your goals. A major part of successful living lies in your ability to put first things first. Most major goals are not achieved because people put second things first. Is what your doing getting you closer to your objectives? Anything that is wasted effort represents wasted time. Don't serve time, make time serve you.
